Yo-Ho Yo-Ho the Pirates Life for Hula Mama!

July 28, 2008

It was definitely once in a life time kind of opportunity – I went to hang out with Seattle’s celebrity;

Seafair Pirates VIP party!

I was working at one of the hotels in downtown, and there they were, PIRATES!

They gave me a pass, so I went to the party at night – simple.

Lots of food and drinks.

Lots of pirates and wenches:

I thought pirates smelled bad, but I was wrong.

Apparently they take shower once in a while, so they smelled pretty good:

And they did not try to kidnap me:

They even let me hold a gun:

Seafair Pirates were all such gentlemen, and I really enjoyed meeting them all!

What a lovely night… :) Grrrrr!

Just found out…

My dentist used to be one of Bud Girls – I love her even more, and I don’t dislike going to dentist anymore.

My dentist rocks! I would drink beer for her (if I can)  :)

Why I quit Facebook

July 20, 2008

I stopped using Facebook.

It was kind of fun to start, write, and poke, but I also lost interest pretty easily.
I was beginning to wonder “why do I have to make myself so available to public?”

So, by quitting Facebook, I am going to be less available to the world.

Only special people get to know me… hehehe :)

Is this Me?

July 16, 2008

So, this is me, on Tiffany Talent Website:

Not sure if I look like this all the time – probably not, especially after a long day of work…

There are two ladies I look up to as models:

One – Miss Piggy

Two – Jessica Rabbit

Come to think of it, they are desperately in love with their lovers, Frog and Rabbit.
Hmmm, maybe I need to be in love with some kind of animals… :)

Ipanema Grill

July 16, 2008

Wow, great restaurant! I have wanted to try, and finally I did.

I don’t eat meat much at home, so when I have a chance to go out, I can really enjoy MEAT.

Ipanema Grill was the right place to eat meat, really. Meat, meat, meat…

And side dish bar was AMAZING too.

If you are in Seattle, and tired of Sushi or Seafood or other stuff, I strongly suggest Ipanema Grill.

Art

July 7, 2008

I love Gauguin – he is my FAVORITE painter for a long, long time :)

Now, this is not Gauguin, but I found this painting at one of the restaurants in dowtown (Etta’s Seafood) near Pike Market.

and fell in love…

Does anyone know about this painting? Artist? It kind has Gauguin’s influence, but I don’t think it is his work. If you know anything about this, do let me know.

I also like Chagall, Monett, Bunker, some of El Greco, and Jackson Polluck. I guess I also like Picasso when I feel like it.

Speaking of Art, I think Tattoo Artists are amazing – their devotion and passion for inked art is pretty serious – and, I appreciate their works. It’s a great culture.

Here is my favorite tattoo artist – Matt :)

Got Art?

It’s my anniversary

July 7, 2008

Today (July 7th) is my baptism anniversary.

Funky Hula Mama is actually a Funky Lutheran – and I am sticking with it.

I Love Seattle MORE!

July 7, 2008

After working hard all day, we were at International Beer Fest at Seattle Center.

I don’t drink at all, in fact, I cannot drink at all (I am very allergic) but I LOVE drunk people, and I know how to have fun without alcohol – very cheap date :)

Anyway, I was having a cigar, and “on duty” police officer was smoking cigar, too.

Hoku : “Hello sir, are you on duty?”

Cute Officer : “Yes”

H : “Please say no if it is not possible, but would you pose with me?”

CO : “I can’t say no – of course!”

So, we took a pic.

After this pic, Cute Officer started to have more girls coming to him and asking to take a picture with him… He became one of  the most popular guys in the festival :)

My mission completed!

Anyway, I might use this picture for my Christmas card.

I just really felt “I love Seattle!” – thanks, officer!

Pride Parade – I love Seattle!

July 3, 2008

Can you see a nice looking Hebi-kun marching in a parade?

I enjoyed dancing with many gays and lesbians at Seattle Center after the parade – I love Seattle :)

Oh, and… I kissed a woman :)

Nice… :)

Viva Las Vegas!

July 3, 2008

I probably don’t need to go back to Vegas, but it was worth going.

It was priceless moment to see my mother gambling (and losing):

I think it is not called Sin City because you get to be exposed to so many ’sinful’ activities.

It is called so because you kind of realize how sinful you are when in Vegas…

Yeah, I became a little cynical there – that’s one of my sins.

Can anyone teach me why gambling is fun? I just did not think so.

This was fun – my mission in Vegas was to take a picture with Julius Caesar :)

And I did it!

O show was AMAZING – Bellagio was FABULOUS – but I felt left out as I don’t gamble and I can’t drink.

And I missed Hawaii…
